Paria B

Bio
Paria B is a Spoken Word EMCEE that intertwines poetry and hip hop in her creative writing process. Her debut Album, 'Break Free' is an outlet projecting her views on politics, love, pain, family, religion and education. The album was compiled by DUWOPRose The Vinylist, who has contributed to the album by lacing the cuts as her DJ, and also by fulfilling the role of her Executive Producer.

Paria B, a fiesty 24 year old from Kansas City, Missouri is now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada; her new home. It was in Las Vegas where she had the chance to open up for artists such as Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique, Chino XL, Ice T, and Killah Preist... and that's only to name a few.

With songs such as 'Real Recognize Real' or 'Make Moves Make Noise,' and with her most famous poems, 'My 3 Elements' and 'I'm Writing For You,' Paria B's quiet features serve as a dramatic contrast to the force of her mature political convictions. Coming in with radio friendly tracks as well; 'Memories Way' and 'Fire in Me', she touches on having love.. and having a unique swag unlike any other female in the game.

Already taking the valley by storm... Paria B is now prepared to take the world by storm with her charisma, wit and word play. Is the Hip Hop world ready for this girl? It doesn't seem to matter... because Paria B is on her own mission.

Lyrics

Paria B - 'Is It A Crime?' - Featuring DUWOPRose

I fall to my knees when I think of the sufferin'
My heart just bleeds, it gets so bloody when
You see a nation, spread misinformation
I'm misunderstood, cause of false education
If I don't teach little girls to be strong then who the hell will?
If I don't teach survivalism then they will get killed
And yeah I'm screamin' for peace
Shoutin out 'death upon any ill-hearted police'
Am I menace to my race for the aggression I feed?
You can kill a woman, can't destroy a legacy
so what it left of me?
They breathe envy and jealousy
So I say what you are scared to say
And that eats you at night
Direct words retaliate, I'm not afraid of the fight
For my people's sake, I gotta bring the light

HOOK
Cause I live on forever
I'm ahead of my time
until the day that I die
My war zone is a rhyme
and I live on forever
I'm ahead of my time
until the day that I die
My war zone is a rhyme
Is it a crime for me to do right?
I'm askin
Is it a crime for me to do right?
I'm askin
is it a crime for me to do right? (Right)
For me to do right (Right)
For me to do right

They Treat me like, I can't die for what's rightfully mine
My beliefs on equality could cure the blind
But they won't give me a chance
Activists rise UP, cause they invaded our land
So do away with me now
With my fists I pound
Until my knuckles rip viens
Mentally conditioned
They want us to be tamed
They won't listen, we animals in a cage
And they hoped to frame people like Malcolm X and Mohammad Mosadegh
Leaders, that paved the way for me, for you, for we
I raid jail cells to see; the innocent set free
This democracy, seems so phony to me
Want me to fight your war? You speak ridiculously
Jihad is in my heart, that's my freedom of speech
Between God and me
A rebel with a cause, somebody help me breathe
somebody help me see, somebody help me breathe
somebody help me see...

BRIDGE: Scratches From DUWOPRose

HOOK 3x
Cause I live on forever
I'm ahead of my time

My war zone is a rhyme
and I live on forever
I'm ahead of my time

My war zone is a rhyme
Is it a crime for me to do right?
I'm askin
Is it a crime for me to do right?
I'm askin
is it a crime for me to do right? (Right)
For me to do right (Right)
For me to do right
